Swasti Eco Cottages

We walked into the main Ubud area easily through the monkey forest, and also joined a yoga class and had a massage. The grounds felt open and spacious, with the pool and restaurant surrounded by tropical gardens, making it such a relaxing spot. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and seemed to enjoy working there. We loved our stay, would recommend the hotel, and would love to return.

It felt like a peaceful little home away from home, almost like heaven. I loved the simple setting, the nature, the organic food garden, and the warm staff. Meals were prepared with care and love, using ingredients from the garden. The colorful plates were nourishing and delicious. The recovery center, sauna, ice bath, and massage treatments and therapists were excellent. I highly recommend spending time here and letting yourself be looked after. A rare gem in Ubud.

Anik’s vibrant energy and Teddy’s excellent cappuccinos gave our five days a personal touch. We were here during Nyepi, and found the whole stay refreshing, serene, and surrounded by lush nature. The pool is beautiful for relaxing, and the staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to help. We tried both a deluxe room and a bungalow, and each was comfortable and tranquil. The Balinese massage was the best we’ve had, and the organic café had delicious, healthy options whether you’re vegan or not. It’s a charming, authentic sanctuary with plenty of wellness treatments, and we left with lovely memories.

As a solo traveling woman, feeling safe, comfortable, cozy, and welcome matters a lot to me. I felt all of that at Swasti Eco cottage. I’ve traveled to 48 countries and stayed at thousands of resorts, and this is one of the top line resorts for me. The staff are sweet, helpful, and welcoming. I enjoyed pool dips and private yoga classes, which can be held indoors or outdoors. A friendly monkey even came to visit. I stayed in a wooden hut with an outdoor shower, and loved lying in bed in the morning listening to birds, crickets, and geckos. The food was Michelin star quality, delicious, and beautifully decorated with banana leaves folded into origami. I really enjoyed my stay and can definitely recommend this resort.
