Mr Joni, the owner, was warm and accommodating, and the mattress was comfortable. The room had a kettle and coffee, and breakfast was the familiar platter of fruit, scrambled egg, and toast with jam. For what I paid, the room was more than I expected.

I’d try for a room at the front. Mine had two balconies, one facing east, and in the morning I could sit on the patio, sunbathe, and look out over the street as the light came in. It’s a quiet street, and a really great place to stay.

Bring your own shampoo and soap. Breakfast is jam, bread, and fruit, and you can ask to have it brought to your room. If you like a quiet place, I’d suggest booking this hotel. Good value.

The owner was very kind, and Komang was nice too, serving breakfast and helping out. I came in April 2018 for two nights to get away from my usual routine. I was lucky to get a discounted Agoda rate for an upgrade to an air-conditioned room.

We paid just 18 Canadian dollars. The room was huge, with two balconies, a minibar, and a couch to lounge on. It’s not five-star, but it’s great for the price.
