Satya House Ubud

The room was spacious and clean, with a hot shower and good water pressure. We stayed at Satya House for two nights, and the quiet spot just off the street was within walking distance of restaurants and tourist attractions. The peaceful pool and grounds were well maintained, and the nightly price included a good breakfast, so it was very good value. The staff were lovely and arranged an awesome sunrise tour driver named Yoga. Our room could have used a few more power points and had only one bedside table, but that wasn't a big problem for the short time we were there.

The location is tucked away, and the price is great for what you get. The host and staff are all so friendly, and there's a resident girl called Gingie who's just as friendly. The host will also get girl Gingie desexed. Reception doubles as a warung serving tasty meals. I'd stay again.

A peaceful stay in a fabulous location. The staff were lovely, and the mattresses were comfortable. I'd definitely stay again.

We stayed five nights at Satya House, and the bathroom really spoiled what could have been an almost perfect stay. It was very dirty and smelled awful from the moment we entered the room. The odor remained even after cleaning. Soap wasn't replenished, and one bottle was already empty at check-in. The shower head needed a proper clean too, so showering there didn't feel very clean. The room itself was okay, the bed was comfy and we had a balcony. There were lots of windows but only the large one had a curtain, so mornings were very bright. Our room was right next to a school, which meant no sleeping past 07.30 on weekdays. There were good things too: breakfast was actually quite nice, we could get a bottle of water each morning, and the location was very good and quiet. The pool was nice and the staff were very sweet. Still, the bathroom made us not want to spend any more time in the room than necessary.
