Nata Ubud

We planned to stay one day at Nata Ubud, but liked it so much that we extended several times, for a total of 16 days. It’s a cozy, small, intimate hotel with plenty of peace and quiet. The staff are really friendly, breakfast is top notch, and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. You can tell a lady decorated them, which is great. The pool was clean, with plenty of sunbeds. Thanks for having us. I’d highly recommend it.

The view was beautiful and the area very quiet, a great setting for relaxing. Staff were generally polite and nice, though communicating in English could be difficult at times. The room door didn’t close properly; after I asked several times, they eventually fixed it. I’d seen reviews about a smell and some mold before booking, so those weren’t a surprise. But at 3 a.m. the toilet broke and flooded the room. I had to clean it myself, and the hotel offered neither compensation nor even a small extension at checkout. On our last day, we also found some big worms on the stone shower floor, which was unpleasant. Maintenance and cleanliness need improvement.

I spent three days in a Suite room. The bed was clean and comfy, and the staff were nice and very polite. Everything else was amazing too. My only suggestion is to improve the WiFi connection.

We enjoyed three nights here and had our morning coffee on the balcony, looking out at a nice view. It’s close to ubud central and good value for money. Our Suite was spacious, with a great room and a large clean bathroom. The pool was clean and worth a dip, and the welcoming hosts were always around for questions. You can easily rent a bike next door. A few things could be better: the room had a bit of a smell from being kept closed, so room freshners might help. The bathroom water drains slowly, and you may stand in soapy water while showering. Breakfast was good but the menu was limited. A buffet would be great.
