Teja Guest House & Gallery

The location worked out well for walking around town and visiting nearby attractions. There are shops and restaurants close by too. Even though it's on a fairly busy street, the property sits well back from the road, so it stays quiet and peaceful. We were impressed as soon as we arrived at Teja Home Stay that evening. The property is lovely, with several aquariums, and our room had a lot of character. It was large and clean, the bathroom was much bigger than many we'd used around Asia, and the attached veranda felt charming and private. The staircase up to our room was just for us, so nobody else needed to use it to reach the upstairs area. Each morning the staff welcomed us with smiles and a tasty breakfast: an omelet, toast, tea, and fresh fruit. They checked whether we'd slept well, which we had, and asked what we planned to do that day. Everyone was friendly, engaging, and easy to approach. The airport pickup was great from the start. The gentleman who collected us was pleasant and polite, knew the area, and spoke a good amount of English. We liked him enough to hire him for other excursions. From the pickup through our whole week in Ubud, the staff, facilities, and service were excellent.

The location puts you within easy walking distance of Ubud's popular spots, including Ubud Palace, Saraswati Temple, Ubud Dalem Temple, and Monkey Forest. Even so, the yard has a lovely feel, with a few birds and a fish pond. Our room was spotless, spacious, and cleaned every day. The owner was super friendly, and breakfast was simple but delicious: omelette, fruit, and hot tea. We loved staying here. Couldn't have asked for a better experience, a real hidden gem 🤍

The owners were lovely and helpful, and breakfast was lovely too. It's right in the middle of Ubud Center, but tucked into a courtyard away from the noise. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with comfortable beds, great AC, and strong WiFi. Highly recommend!

We were happy we chose Teja Homestay. It was easy to find restaurants and shops nearby, and the room was both spacious and very clean. The staff were so friendly and willing to help with anything. We'd definitely book Teja Homestay again if we're back in Ubud.
