The neighborhood is peaceful, and the place feels calm and surrounded by nature. It’s really affordable too. Even the dorm beds are huge, and the small toilets are clean. The family is lovely, as other reviews say. The host helped me get a SIM card and lent me an adapter when I didn’t have one. Everyone was friendly, and there were lots of cats plus a cute, friendly dog called mello. A great place for a few days in Ubud, highly recommend.

Koman and his family were the best part of my stay, making it feel like a special local experience in Ubud. He invited me to their annual full moon ceremony and told me fascinating things about local culture. He also teaches wood carving, and his pieces are beautiful. The private room is very affordable, and the guest house in their backyard was clean and tidy, looking out over a lovely garden. I only had three short days in Ubud, but the city and Koman’s hospitality have me wanting to return soon, or someday.

A couple of years ago, I went to Bali and stayed at sila urip guest house. Mang and his family became friends during our time there, and it was a memorable trip with lots of good times and places. Compared with my other trips around Asia, it was probably my favorite. I’m definitely going back.

The place has a relaxed feel, with a great outdoor area, a small kitchen, and a table looking out over the forest. The beds are spacious and each has its own tent, while the rooms are fresh and clean. Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the shower is in the bathroom. It’s a lovely little spot outside Ubud’s crowded tourist area, with a very kind, smiling owner. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and interesting encounters. Highly recommend.

There are private rooms as well as a hostel room with six beds separated by thick concrete walls. The hostel was clean and quiet, with a pleasant smell and no bad odor.
