The Pandora Hotel

This is one of the most beautiful, relaxing places I've stayed. Ubud is easy to reach, and the hotel works with its own local drivers. My spacious room felt very Bali, with smooth river stones and black pebbles framing a huge shower, a luxurious double bath, and a huge king bed under a canopy that kept mosquitoes away and made me feel like a Disney princess. There was also a little private garden looking out onto wild rainforest, with a small pool of its own. The room had a mini fridge for cold drinks, and the restaurant on site was incredible, serving large, delicious meals and some of the best Bali coffee I've tasted. The Bali white coffee is sweet and delicious, almost like dessert. There are a few cats on the grounds too. They're clean, friendly, well-fed, and clearly cared for, which was an unexpected treat for an animal lover.

It’s the people who make The Pandora Hotel so special. The staff are warm and caring, the kind who would go to a hospital in the middle of the night just to comfort you. I’ll definitely be back, and I can’t recommend the place enough. Utter bliss. The setting is beautiful too, with a Tomb Raider meets Jungle Book feel. At night, you can hear the soft jungle hum and see the candlelit resort across the river. In the morning there’s a manicured garden, an infinity pool, and lots of welcoming local smiles.

We were a little nervous booking The Pandora Hotel online without knowing anything about it. The drive made it seem far away, so I'd suggest using Waze or GPS and searching for The Pandora Hotel. It isn't on the Main Street, but it turned out not to be far away, and once we arrived everything was spectacular. We went straight to dinner and the food was amazing. The room and the view were beyond what we expected, so try to book with a view. Breakfast was fine, gourmet-style rather than a buffet. It seems to be a new hotel, just one year old, and they seem to be doing things right. The people spoke English very well, better than me. Recommend 110%!

Lovely place with beautiful decor, good food, and friendly service. The forest views are stunning, and it’s a great spot away from busy Ubud. Car service can be slow, though.
