I spent around a month at Art Resort and it honestly felt like paradise. I tried a few different rooms while I was there, and each was beautiful and thoughtfully put together. The resort has lovely jungle gardens, koi ponds with turtles, butterflies in the mornings, a pool, and an outdoor yoga hall. Wedja restaurant is connected to the resort and was another highlight. The team were so helpful throughout. They’d help with bags or store luggage at the lobby, and even sorted out little jungle-life surprises, like an animal getting into my room. They also replied quickly on WhatsApp. If you’re heading to Ubud, I’d recommend a few nights here, though I’d stay longer if you can. I was already thinking about coming back. We ended up extending our seven-night stay because we felt so relaxed here. Ubud Art Resort / Wedja is beautiful everywhere you look, and the owner was incredibly nice. Our room overlooked the rice paddy, and the staff cleaned it every day. From the moment we arrived, they treated us like royalty. The food was delicious and definitely worth trying if you’re in Ubud. Special thanks to Diah, who kept going above and beyond for us with a smile.

Ryan at the front desk was exceptionally kind and helpful, with great tips and a real effort to make my stay pleasant. The resort also has a lovely pool area and a great restaurant. I spent two nights in a wooden deluxe cottage overlooking the rice fields. It was spacious and charming, with a large bathroom that had both a bathtub and a shower. The cottage was surrounded by lush greenery, vibrant plants, and colorful flowers, and the whole resort was beautifully designed.

The restaurant on site draws a crowd, and the Balinese food is great. I stayed in a mezzanine bungalow with a rice field view, probably the nicest place I’ve stayed in Bali. It had a timber build that mixed traditional style with modern amenities. The air conditioning kept it cool, and the semi-outdoor bathroom was beautiful. In the morning, I could look over the rice fields right from bed.

We had a lovely, quiet break from the busy city. It rained a lot while we were there, but the place felt so cosy. The staff were professional and greeted us with smiles, and the beds and shower were amazing.
