Ubud Green looks beautiful in the photos, and the staff were supportive and polite. The service could be better: tea and coffee weren’t refilled unless we asked, and there was no hot water when we needed it. Also, the outdoor jacuzzi shown in the pictures wasn’t working during our stay. Nice people, but at a similar price you may find better value elsewhere.

We appreciated the complimentary shuttle to the Ubud Palace area at different times during the day, and breakfast à la carte was enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the villa looked just like its pictures. Since it’s set in the jungle, more attention to detailed cleaning would make the experience even better, though it didn’t take away from the comfort or charm. Service felt truly five-star, and we’d consider staying again.

The room was so relaxing, with a private pool, and the accommodation had everything we needed. The restaurant served lots of different dishes, all tasty and generously portioned. Ubud Green felt like an oasis away from the noise, though it is some distance from town. There’s a free shuttle, which helps. I’d highly recommend it for a luxury feel at a fair price.

The villas are super spacious, with room for at least 10 people, and the staff are helpful. It’s a great location surrounded by nature. Just remember you’ll be sharing that setting with ants, dragonflies, and other insects throughout your stay, so bring insect repellent.

This ended up being our favorite stay in southeast Asia. It’s just beyond the busy city centre, with gorgeous rooms and a free shuttle into Ubud. A small thing that would help: hand towels and a few kitchen basics like bottle openers and bowls.
