Villa Madu Ubud

Our wedding at Villa Madu was more than I could have imagined, and we can’t wait to return. The team clearly cares about creating a wonderful experience, and we can’t recommend the place highly enough for a wedding, big celebration, or luxurious getaway. The venue was stunning, lush and green, surrounded by nature while still feeling luxurious. The staff were kind, thoughtful, and attentive. They took great care with the menu and made sure everyone in our group with food allergies was accommodated. The wedding banquet was unforgettable, the best meal we’ve had, with beautiful presentation and atmosphere. The decorations and flowers were amazing. Riana and Christine made the planning feel easy, bringing expertise, kindness, and creativity to every detail. The Villa and the Nest made a special place for our five-day workshop, with 15 adults and one child. There’s so much care in the details and decorations. We used the Shala for the training sessions, and the staff were amazing, always nearby when we needed them but staying in the background. All meals were included, the menu had plenty of variety, and everything was tasty. The Balinese night with dancers was spectacular. I’d highly recommend the property and would happily stay again. We had 11 people across the main Villa, the Magnolia Cottage, and the River House, and each had its own lovely features. The gardens and buildings were breathtaking, and from the moment we arrived, it felt like paradise. The staff were all amazing. The banquet, Balinese dancers, and music made it perfect for my 50th birthday. Highly, highly recommend. Kath

We loved this place, from the tranquil décor and all the space to the secure setting and easy walk into town. We were 8 adults, 2 teenagers, and one 8 month old. The photos really don’t show how lovely it is. Nurdi’s cooking was a highlight. Just tell her what you want and she and her staff will make it, so there’s no need to eat out. We used the Yoga space every day too. A few things could be better: a swing for two or three people on a tree would be nice if possible, a very shallow pool section would help babies play in the water, and it would have been handy to be shown where the light switches are, since some are hidden. There’s no TV or Aircon, but we were happy to get away from those things. An amazing experience overall. We’d love to find our way back to Bali and this place.
