The villa felt quintessentially Balinese, immaculate, airy, and quiet. Its two bedrooms each had a separate bathroom, and the pool wasn't cold in July, despite what another review said. After a tiring 30-hour journey, we arrived on a Saturday night following a drive of a couple of hours through traffic. Our flight was late, but manager Gilang waited patiently, showed us around thoroughly, and gave us his number so we could reach him anytime. A few things to know: it's quite remote, which is great if you want to unplug, but the nearest local grocery shop is 2 km away. There aren't restaurants or shops nearby apart from small local places, so order dinner ahead if you're arriving late in the day. A private chef can cook any meal if you preorder, and an onsite massage can be arranged in advance. Housekeeping comes daily, though there's no laundry facility.
