Villa Tirtha Amertha Ubud

Wayan was a big help, including giving us and our luggage a lift on his motorbike between the house and the main road, since cars can’t go in. The house is about 650m down a small street, so it stays lovely and quiet. We walked everywhere, though renting a scooter is easy, and there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. Kemulan was our favourite. The house was clean and comfortable, with a great bed and shower, a full kitchen, and everything working properly. We loved the garden and the whole vibe. Wayan is friendly and helpful. We had a perfect stay and highly recommend it.

When our app-booked car to the airport cancelled at the last minute, Wayan quickly arranged for his brother to drive us. We were so grateful. He’d already helped with our bags both on arrival and when we left, and also sorted out laundry for us. The laundromat he picked was good value. The villa was quiet and peaceful, in a friendly, safe neighbourhood, and we’d happily stay again. There are lots of good restaurants, warungs and scooter rental places within about a 20-minute walk. Daily cleaning, sealed water and welcome drinks were provided too.

We hired a decent bike for 50,000 a day, which made it easy to explore Ubud. The owner was great at keeping in touch on WhatsApp before we arrived and during the stay. The villa was cleaned every day, with unlimited fresh filtered water, and there was plenty of furniture to relax on after exploring, including two sunbeds and outdoor chairs, plus a dining table and chairs inside. The bath was a lovely place to unwind. We spent six days here. It’s close to central Ubud but far enough away to feel peaceful, and the place was a perfect base and a total bargain.

We only wish we’d stayed longer. The place was very clean and the pool was amazing. Wayan was really helpful with check-in and check-out, especially since cars have to stop about a 10-minute walk from the property. Highly recommend it.
