It looked great at first, and I liked how clean it was. But the evening got very busy. I was sitting upstairs on the terrace when, over about an hour and a half, around six men came one after another to a room for 10 or 15 minutes each. There was a girl inside. I was there with my lovely wife, and I wasn’t happy about it. No-go zone!!!!!!! Shame on you, owner Franceman and his wife.

They helped set up my shared taxi for the next day, and even let me borrow a motorbike for free so I could get dinner. They also suggested a seafood place near the port, which was very good and reasonably priced. A quiet, comfortable place to stay.

A quiet spot set back from the street, with comfortable decor and good value for money. The room had air conditioning, hot showers, and a kettle. I’d recommend it if you’re after western comforts.

The rooms are great, and a scooter is useful since the hotel is outside the center. They can give you a contact to arrange one. Communication with the staff works through Google Translate.

A really good place to stay in Sumba. My room was very clean, the location was good, and there was hot water. The staff were kind and helpful. Highly recommend 👍
