Hotel King's

The cafeteria was dirty, with ants around, a sticky table, and disappointing food. In the room, there were no blankets, the sheet was stained, and the place felt dusty and uncomfortable. The cupboards were dusty too. Wi-Fi barely worked, there was no phone, and the paint was peeling. Roaches showed up on the first night, a lizard was behind the tiny mirror, and the broken-looking light fitting barely lit the room. In the bathroom, the sink leaked and sat at an angle, the floor was crusty, and there was no bathtub. Either the pump or the AC made a very loud noise. I wouldn’t stay here unless there was no other option. The place really needs an upgrade.

It’s handy being near the main road, and the hotel is convenient. But every room seems to leak badly when it rains, the floors are dirty, and there are spider webs everywhere. The breakfast menu needs changing too. For the room rate, the quality doesn’t feel balanced. Please sort out the maintenance, especially since Kings Hotel is the only hotel in the Wates area.

The service was great, and there’s plenty of parking by the main Yogyakarta-Kulon Progo road. It’s in a strategic spot, though the hotel could use a renovation.

The outside gives a good impression, but the toilet was quite dirty and the beds weren’t very comfortable. At least there’s AC.
