A terrible experience. So many things were wrong: the room looked different from the pictures, it was dark and dirty, and there was no separation between smoking and non-smoking rooms.

My family and friends stayed here for one night last week, and I feel I need to mention the serious safety concerns we found. Each room has a gas water heater, with the gas tank inside the room. There are no windows, just tiny ventilation holes, so a leak while someone is asleep could have serious consequences. The building is three storeys high and quite long, but the only staircase is at the front. There's no rear staircase, so people in rooms at the back could be trapped in an emergency. On top of those two safety issues, the rooms smell of wastewater. I know there aren't many options in Dieng, but people should be aware of what we found at this property.

The room was clean, the water heater worked well, and the staff were really nice. The price is cheap too. A nice place to stay in Dieng, whether you call it a hotel or a hostel.
