At around 600,000 Rupiah, the stay felt worth the price. We could order meals to the room for very little, and there was a stove with all the cooking gear. It’s a 13-minute drive from Point Zero in Dieng, so not especially close. Our corner room had a wider view, and we stayed in Room 4 overnight on January 16th, when it got down to 13 degrees Celsius. The water heater gave us some trouble, though, and we had to change the gas twice.

From the second floor, the view was so good I didn’t even feel like going out. The place was safe from rain, with no leaks, and we had double blankets. Breakfast was provided for six people. The hot water, electricity, and cooking gear all worked, and all three beds were clean. There’s just one manager, but he’s humble, friendly, and gave great service, very Javanese in manner. The villa manager said to book through WhatsApp Maps for the cheapest price, since there are lots of touts. One small thing, the bathroom’s glass vent is transparent, though it’s set high. As a guy, I just ignored it, and the women wouldn’t know. That’s it.

I really miss this kind of atmosphere, and staying in the cabin left me feeling great. It’s newly finished and still fresh, with a lovely view. Sure, there are pros and cons, but the good points outweigh the bad. Keep going, Padangsadi Cabin 2, great...

The view is a real highlight, and the weather comes with the territory since the place is up on the Dieng Plateau. The Villa Cabin is new, clean, and tidy, and the service is friendly.
