Breakfast had plenty of variety, including Bakmi Goreng Jowo, Nasi Goreng Jowo, Gudheg and Kebab. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily and kept it tidy. The main drawback was the small room, which can feel cramped if you’re praying shalat in it. The biggest advantage is the location, about 150m from Masjid Jogokariyan, an easy walk for praying Shalat Subuh berjamaah di Masjid Jogokariyan. A mixed stay at Hotel 101 Urban Heritage Yogyakarta, with location and cleanliness as the strong points. Suitable if convenience and shalat berjamaah in Masjid Jogokariyan matter most.

The forgotten item I left behind was sent all the way to Jakarta at no extra charge, which was impressive service. Staff were friendly and helpful, even assisting with airport drop-off when needed. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious enough for suitcases, and the rates felt affordable for what you get. The bathroom light was a little dim, but hot water worked perfectly and the AC was wonderfully cold. Hallways were clean, the lift was fast, and the hotel grounds were well kept. It’s conveniently located near a well-known restaurant and a must visit coffeeshop, with Malioboro and the city center easy to reach. Great value for money, and I’d highly recommend it when visiting Yogyakarta.

I was here for two nights on a business trip, and it was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for work. The central city location, spacious room, friendly staff and delicious breakfast with plenty of choice all worked well. You can request a smoking room. There’s also a pool, though I didn’t use it.

We had a pool view, and the room was a good size with aircon that worked well. It’s about a minute from a major supermarket and 10 minutes from cafes, so it’s convenient. For £15-20 it does the job, and I’d stay again. We didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t comment on that.
