The lobby area has loads of mosquitoes, and the shared spaces are very hot. I also didn’t like being charged extra for one single bed instead of two twin beds. That makes no sense for solo travelers. There’s no elevator, so it’s not suitable for people with disabilities. The rooms looked clean enough at first, but the place felt gross once I was there. I had to switch rooms on arrival because the wall AC didn’t work. They should check that before assigning a room. The sheets and towels were ragged and in awful shape, beige-brown instead of white. The bed was hard as rocks, and springs stuck out in spots on the mattress. Breakfast the next morning wasn’t the buffet shown in the Expedia.com photos. You could choose an American or Indonesian breakfast. I chose Indonesian, since I was having breakfast for two, and got fried rice and noodles. The food was disgusting and seemed close to spoiled. I couldn’t believe it.

The pool was splendid, and I also liked the wooden craft in the lobby. The only photo I dared to post was the pool view. From outside, though, the building looks unattended. The room was very spacious, but neither it nor the bathroom had the beauty of the lobby and pool. I’d give the different parts of the review five stars, but I’d like management to breathe some fresh life into the property. I’ve recommended it to several colleagues and will definitely return, with high hopes for a refresh and renovation.

I only spent about six hours here across two nights, but I rate this hotel highly. The rooms are comfortable and quite upscale, the staff are great, and service is efficient. It’s centrally located, apparently right in the middle of the nighttime action in a district called little Bali.

I had an enjoyable stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean too. The TV was already an LED model. The staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed during the loose season, so breakfast was delivered to our room. If you’re lucky enough to get a first-floor room, there’s a pool view and special access to the pool. Thumbs up!

Update, Dec. 2025: We stayed one night again after seven years and were quite disappointed. The rooms haven’t been maintained at all, with the same paint, bathroom, and furniture. The AC isn’t cold and is noisy even on the lowest setting. There was no hot water in the shower, and the outdoor area looks like it badly needs repairs. On our earlier stay, we had a simple but attractive ground-floor room with a balcony right by the pool. The bed was great, and as a couple we enjoyed every minute of that night. Great memories. The hotel is on the famous Prawirotaman street, with Tempo del gelato just a few metres away and plenty of fun restaurants serving decent Western food. The staff were friendly, but skip breakfast, it wasn’t worth it.
