It was really upsetting to see someone neglect and mistreat six cats. They’re kept locked in cages at the back, and you can hear them crying all night and during the day. Sometimes I noticed their bowls had no water, and when they hadn’t been fed, they cried even louder. When you go up to the cages, they get excited and crave attention, probably hoping someone will let them out. I mentioned the nighttime meowing while I was trying to sleep, and the lady told me they’re never let out and are used to the cage. I’ve never been so disappointed in a hotel or homestay. This place really went above and beyond.

A good option if you’re watching your budget, and the owner is accommodating. There’s no AC, but you can use the pantry and laundry area anytime.

The house’s daughter was quick to help us during our stay in Jogja and even offered to show us around Malioboro. She booked us a grab car and gave the driver directions. People in Jogja are very nice :)

This place is easy to find. You can buy batik here with good quality and design.

This homestay is full of lies. It’s dirty. Don’t go here! Never again!
