It feels more like a boarding house, but it’s a good option if you’re on a tight budget or trying to save. The staff are friendly, and it’s close to the places you need, especially Malioboro and Taman Sari. Food is easy to find too, with plenty of vendors down the alley in either direction. There’s a water dispenser. If the room’s dirty, tell the staff and they’ll clean it. The bathroom showerhead doesn’t drain well, and it’d be good to check the corners for cobwebs.

The room and bathroom were dirty, and the room smelled bad. There was no bathroom soap, not even hand soap, and no bottled water. I booked for two people and got one towel, but they wouldn’t provide another. Two guests should get two towels. If you book for one person, you get the same one-person service and one bed.

There’s a rooftop with two gazebos where you can relax in the evening. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are reasonably clean, and there’s hot water. TV and air conditioning are available too.

It didn’t meet my expectations, and I regret booking three nights. I checked out just two hours later, and I wouldn’t go back.
