Ibis Yogyakarta Airport Kulon

It’s a nice place near the international airport. If you’re looking for the bustle of a city, though, this isn’t that kind of place.

Nice hotel near YIA Airport, with a good view and good staff. My favorite part of the stay was the UMKM stalls in the lobby. The prices were affordable and the quality was good. Loved it.

We didn’t book breakfast, so I can’t comment on it. Our original booking was at ibis, but because it was still being renovated, they gave us a room at novotel in the same area, since they’re part of one hotel group. The room was great, with a nice city view, working facilities, and the standard amenities. I did notice some bread crumbs under the bed, so maybe housekeeping missed that spot. Otherwise, everything was good.

I stayed at Ibis Yogyakarta International Airport from 5-7 July 2024, and it was a memorable experience. The facilities felt luxurious, the service was superb, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Yogyakarta who wants a comfortable, upscale stay. My deluxe room was spacious, modern, and spotless, with an exceptionally comfortable bed and a luxurious bathroom with a rain shower. Reception made check-in seamless, and the welcoming, professional staff explained the amenities and local attractions. They even offered a complimentary welcome drink after my long journey. The breakfast buffet at the main restaurant had plenty of options for different tastes. I especially liked the fresh pastries and omelets made to order. Staff were attentive, friendly, and eager to help throughout my stay. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough, keeping the room in perfect condition. The hotel is conveniently close to the airport, which makes it useful for early flights and layovers. It’s also a short drive from Borobudur Temple and the city center, making sightseeing easy. Given the facilities and service, I thought the rates were reasonable compared with other luxury hotels in the area, and the hotel offered excellent value for money.
