The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, always ready to help, and we appreciated the local tips they gave us at check-in, including laundry suggestions. Breakfast had Western and Indonesian choices. The Indonesian option felt a bit too rich for me in the morning, but staff were happy to handle other requests. The pool was nice, though the water wasn’t heated. The property is clean, but parts of it don’t seem especially well maintained for a relatively new place. There are insects around, though sprays are provided. Small lizards often get into the room and can make loud noises at night, which could wake light sleepers. It’s very close to a mosque, so you’ll hear prayers at scheduled times, including the early one around 4:30am. Sound carries through the rooms too, so outside noise and nearby homes, including children playing, can be heard.

Thanks to mas Resaaa, who was super helpful! The staff were friendly and the calm atmosphere made it a really relaxing stay. Jogja Life Villa is clean and comfortable. Great place in Yogyakarta, highly recommended.

The peaceful atmosphere was my favorite part. The villa has a private pool and feels luxurious, with good food, good service, and a nice vibe. It’s tucked away a little, so I hesitated to trust Google Maps at first. Follow the road wide enough for two cars and you’ll spot the sign. There are snacks at reception if you get bored in your room. Parking for cars is a bit limited.

The room’s nice, with a private pool of its own, and the people are friendly. You can swim all day, but the water is cold in the morning and at night. It’s a bit far from malioboro street.
