Mr.Thomas was a really nice, friendly host. I had to leave early for the train, and he even packed breakfast for me. Breakfast was included during my stay, and there was free coffee and tea in the lobby too. The place felt like staying at home, thanks to the calm, helpful staff, who were always ready to assist. I was upgraded to a deluxe room at no extra cost. It was spacious, the AC was very cold, the TV worked, and there was hot water for the shower. The property is about 50mts from the main train station and Malioboro street. I'd definitely recommend this homestay and would come back.

You can hear everything from the corridor, and some guests were up at six talking loudly, so I wouldn't stay here if I wanted a decent night's sleep. The place feels very outdated, though it has some old-time charm. There's no hot water or toilet paper. Some rooms lack air-con and a bathroom sink, and geckos climb around in the bathroom.

The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, breakfast is good, and there's a nice roof terrace. It's in a good spot just south of the train station. The main problem is noise: the rooms all face the common area, where other guests may be loud late at night or early in the morning.

The artistic feel and affordable price were nice, and the breakfast tasted good. Coffee and tea are available without limit. The bathroom was clean and everything worked, though it could be more comfortable. Maybe the shower could be repositioned and more toiletries provided.
