Malioboro Prime Hotel

The sheets and blanket were dirty, which was the worst part of a subpar room. I found four separate hairs between the blanket and top sheet, what I think was a tick or bed bug, and several leftover blood stains on both the sheet and blanket. The windows also didn't seal out sound at all. I only took a few pictures. I was so eager to leave, and getting more disgusted by the minute, that I wish I'd taken more. I absolutely would not recommend staying here. The hotel didn't offer a refund, and booking.com only gave $11 back as a courtesy. Royal Malioboro by Aston next door cost essentially the same and was 100x nicer. Use agoda or another third party that will actually hold hotels to a decent standard.

Parking was the one drawback because spaces were limited. Otherwise, the room was clean and cozy, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were polite with good service. It was a very pleasant stay and worth the price.

The staff were kind and helpful, and everything went smoothly without any problems. The room was just okay, but it works if you mainly need a place to sleep near Malioboro. What I liked most was the location, only a two-minute walk away. Recommended.

We only stayed here because we unexpectedly needed another night and the Hotel Neo next door was full. The difference was clear: this place seemed to run a hotel, while the other understood hospitality. Our room alarm went off all night and nobody checked on it; it was still sounding when we woke up. The shower smelled like a wet dog. Then at breakfast, a worker pushed past my wife while she was waiting to get by other guests. They don't seem to know hospitality. They just run a hotel.
