Hodson Bay Hotel

The Waterfront Bar has a lovely fireplace, and the hotel looks out over the water. The bars and dining room are nice, and the food was tasty. It's a popular place for Sunday lunch. There's a big, very modern high-tech extension alongside the older traditional hotel, which still feels warm and comfortable and has nice decor. A good mix of old and new.

We did the golf and stay package and loved how easy it was to get onto the course. The hotel itself was so pretty, and we were generously given a free upgrade to a full lake view. I wish we'd had more time for the spa and the other activities. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Our wedding at the Hodson Bay Hotel two months ago went seamlessly, thanks in large part to the venue and its first-rate staff. We made a long weekend of it, with a bridal party dinner the evening before, the wedding day itself, and another night at the hotel afterwards. The facilities were great, with something for everyone. Lots of guests brought their children to the pool, and some used the sauna the next day to recover. I had a salon to myself to get ready, with an adjoining room where a lovely breakfast was laid out. The staff were what made the experience so special. From the start of the preparations until we left after the wedding, the different team leads worked together smoothly for us and our families. Guests with young children and elderly guests both gave us lovely feedback. The older and younger staff were all on point and so accommodating. Elaine Cormican, the wedding coordinator, was considerate, experienced and professional from our first meeting to the end. She stayed a few steps ahead, making sure everything ran smoothly and that we could enjoy it. We're very grateful to her. Michael, head of service, was superb: approachable and working closely with his team to keep everything faultless. Conor, his junior, was particularly helpful and attentive. The food was really delicious, served promptly and professionally, and our guests complimented it highly. William in reservations was a pleasure to deal with for our different booking needs, and Johnny (GM) kept an eye on things and made sure we got what we needed. We celebrated for three nights and couldn't fault the experience.

Food was delicious, and the rooms were really spacious. Everyone on the Hudson staff was so pleasant and helpful, nothing felt like too much trouble. I had a wonderful massage in the beautiful spa, then got to relax in a chill-out room with sorbet and warm fruit tea. We also went to a cheese and wine tasting when we arrived. It was tasty and informative. I'd highly recommend this hotel! 👌
