We waited 1.5 hrs and still weren’t given my Coke with the Guinness. I had to ask for it, and our food or ticket seemed to get lost. No one noticed or checked until we asked a few times. Locals were served straight away, though. Why weren’t all customers treated the same? There were about 13 tables and three servers, but the staff seemed totally overwhelmed, with no structure or order. One sweet boy was trying his best, but the woman and older man weren’t doing much that helped. The food was gross and flavorless, and my meal was meant to come with chips but didn’t. They did apologize for the wait afterward, but seemed to chuckle and blame the rush. Better service could have handled it and treated everyone equally. I’ve felt sick since eating. I don’t recommend it.

We had an amazing party at The Bailey Bar on Saturday night. The food was excellent, the service was seamless, and the staff were unbelievable throughout. Everyone felt comfortable and looked after from the moment we arrived. The team went above and beyond to keep things running smoothly, and a lot of our guests remarked on how friendly and attentive they were. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Bailey for a special occasion, and I’ll definitely book future parties there.

I was back home in Ireland recently for five weeks and travelled all over, eating out every day. Whenever people asked which meal I liked best, I always said Bailey bar athlone. The steak sandwich was the best I had on the trip, and my partner loved her lasagne. The menu looked great, and I wanted to try more of it. There was Irish music in the background, with a relaxed pub feel. The food was beautiful, and I’ve told all my friends thar live in Ireland to go and eat there.

We ducked into this little bar and lounge in Athlone while heavy rain was coming down outside. The food arrived piping hot, a welcome bonus, and everything tasted delicious and freshly made. We tried bruschetta, baked pasta in tomato sauce, vegetable soup, and vegetable curry with rice. A cozy hidden gem!

We had chicken wings, bacon and cabbage, the chicken wrap meal, and steak last week, and every dish was gorgeous. The steak was cooked perfectly. The food was absolutely stunning, and the service was brilliant. We enjoyed it so much and would definitely recommend it. We’ll be back!
