The thing I remember most is how genuinely looked after I felt. Miriam and her team made me feel part of the family, with thoughtful touches that made each visit special. The rooms were always cosy, warm, and spotless. I've stayed at the Old Bank several times for work, and now I'm looking forward to coming back for a personal trip.

The B&B is lovely, with comfortable rooms full of character and history, and the breakfast was excellent. There were fresh pastries to take away, and the place seemed like good value for the price. The setting, comfort, and amenities were all very good. The service was a letdown, especially compared with the other B&Bs we stayed at on our trip. We were delayed in Dingle and called a couple of hours before our planned arrival to ask about checking in late, up to 9:00 pm as the booking information said might be possible with a prior request. We knew a small family-run place might not be able to do that, and a straightforward no would have been fine. Instead, the host became frustrated, said we were asking too much, and mentioned how tired she was. It made for a bad first impression before we even arrived. We did check in on time, but the welcome still felt curt. On arrival, there were more complaints about guests expecting long working hours. Breakfast and check-out were rushed, with little warmth or courtesy, unlike the polite, caring service we had elsewhere. I understand anyone can have a difficult day, but an adversarial or dismissive manner takes away from the stay. Other similar reviews suggest this may be worth reconsidering. The service left an unfortunate aftertaste.

I don't usually post reviews, but this B&B made a good impression. The staff were lovely and welcoming, and the price felt very reasonable for what we got. It's right in the middle of Bruff, with pubs and restaurants a short walk away, and Lough Gur just minutes away by car. Our room was clean and well kept, with a comfy bed. Breakfast set us up for a day of adventure. I'd highly recommend it for a more relaxed stay than you might get at a hotel. Thanks to Miriam and everyone 😊

Miriam and Louise were a pleasure to deal with, and we really appreciated their hospitality. The rooms were cosy and comfortable, and breakfast was fabulous. Thank you both. Betty and Sarah

The property itself is beautiful, but the customer service was disgraceful. I booked through booking.com and posted a review with both positive and negative points. Almost straight after posting it, Miriam, the owner, called me and shouted at me about points she said were wrong. I might have stayed again otherwise, but I won't return or recommend the place after being treated that way. I draw the line at getting an unsolicited call to complain about a review. I emailed Miriam directly to make a formal complaint. I want a prompt response and for the false information in the reply to be redacted. If that doesn't happen, I'll share my emails on this platform so other consumers can see the full exchange.
