The room was a nicely done small hotel room, and the location was great. Everyone was friendly. Parking was convenient once we knew where to go, so be sure to get directions first. I'd stay again.

Room 1 was so tiny it felt more suited to a solo traveler. Of the 13 places we stayed during the trip, it was the smallest. The sink was at the foot of the bed, and we had to put the tea service in the only drawer just to make room for a suitcase. Our other suitcase had to stay in the car. The toilet was about a foot from the head of the bed. We could at least open the window for some airflow, and the room was quiet. It's also within walking distance of everything in town. We saw Room 5 while checking out and it was MUCH roomier. The woman who checked us in was awesome. We had a nice chat when we arrived, then a lovely conversation with her and her sister as we were leaving. They suggested places to visit and things to do, and warned us about parking so we wouldn't get a ticket. Parking in the town centre is nuts.

The location is wonderful, clean, and well priced, with friendly service. You can walk everywhere from here. It's a little noisy before bed because of the nearby restaurants and pubs, but as a light sleeper I still slept fine. For breakfast, head right along the same side of the street to joes cafe. I got a coffee and their white chocolate raspberry scone, the best scone I had in seven different parts of Ireland.

The room really was small, and that kept me from giving the hotel top marks, though the guy at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was so tiny I could use the toilet, shave at the sink, and start the shower all at once. Kinsale is such a lovely town that the room size didn't bother me much, and I'd probably stay here again if I had to. And no mice. ;o)

Two nights in a cramped top-floor box, with two beds and barely enough room to pass each other. At first that was hilarious, then it got tiresome. The bathroom was tiny too, and the whole place badly needs an update. The shower couldn't be adjusted, so my wife had little choice but to get her hair wet. For the price, being without breakfast included didn't sit well either. I'd look elsewhere. I wouldn't return, and even two stars feels generous.
