The town is calm, friendly and beautiful, and Cahir Castle is very close. The place has a fascinating history, having once been a prison, and still keeps many original features from that time. David was kind and helpful, shared lots of history and acted as a guide, making sure everything was just right. We had an excellent weekend and would definitely return and recommend it. After chatting with Peig, we visited Cahir castle and were so glad we did. The castle itself has such an interesting history, and David and Peig were wonderful hosts for our night in Cahir. They suggested great places for dinner. Our room was clean and the bed very comfortable, and breakfast was a real feast. We felt thoroughly spoiled. Thanks for a lovely stay.
There’s a wealth of history and information here, and I loved staying on the top floor, in rooms that used to be old prison cells. The atmosphere is lovely, and it’s close to everything.
A lovely B&B close to a cute town with some good pubs and restaurants.
