We’ll definitely come back. The hostess was so generous with both her time and the home-cooked breakfast, and the place itself feels like a hidden gem. Absolutely fabulous.

We’ve stayed with Kate three times now, and wouldn’t consider anywhere else. She goes out of her way to make sure you have a lovely visit at Hartley House, with that warm Irish welcome and 5-star+++ service. The house is in such a peaceful, idyllic spot, and the rooms are lovely and spotless, with crisp bed linen and fluffy white towels. Looking forward to seeing Kate again next year.

We arrived after a difficult week and left feeling restored. Katie was so thoughtful, warm and kind, and the breakfast was delicious. The house is gorgeous, and we loved every part of our stay. I can’t thank you enough, Katie. You’re a star.

The house was cosy and our room was really comfortable, in a quiet area just beside the town. Kate’s little touches, kindness and warmth made our holiday even better. We loved chatting with her during our stay, and our time in Carrick-on-Shannon was wonderful. Thanks for having us at Hartley House. See you soon!

We stayed one night in two rooms before setting off on a trip on the River Shannon, and Kate made it feel like home. The property is lovely, the rooms are beautiful, and breakfast was second to none. Hartley House is one of the best B&Bs I’ve visited. Mum and I hope we can return one day, and we’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in the area. Thank you, Kate, for such kind hospitality.
