The staff were nice and breakfast was good, but I couldn't sleep on Saturday night. The bar below the bedrooms has loud music late into the night. They say this is clearly explained before booking, but it takes some searching to find that information. They also say it runs until 2am, yet the crowd outside was still audible after that, past 4am, while people got curry chips and waited for taxis. Don't stay on a Saturday if you need sleep.

We'd been wanting to try Indian night again at the western hotel, and I'm so glad we went. The flavours in the main courses impressed us, and the starters had a great choice and were delicious. From the poppadoms through to dessert, the chef did a fabulous job. Service was excellent, with attentive staff, and the meal was very reasonably priced. I finished everything and now I'm full as a tick. We might even be back tomorrow. Thank you western hotel.

We had a lovely little stay from Friday to Sunday, dates 20th to 22nd. The owner was a nice gentleman and bought us two rounds of drinks, such a kind gesture. The bar has loads of character and feels warm and friendly. Aggie was especially great, a friendly all-rounder with good craic and a real asset to the hotel. Thanks for a lovely stay 😊 👍

The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, though they could do with a refurbishment, which I think is happening. For a hotel of its age, it's fantastic that the building is still there. The staff were lovely and friendly, especially Aggie, and the owner was a gent. Great little bar. I'd stay again. Thank you.

Very young, energetic staff were working the bar, reception and table service, and the welcome was lovely. They were helpful with early check-ins too. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Special thanks to Chef Marshal! The location is perfect in the heart of Mayo. One thing: Booking.com charged me €160, while the same room was available directly from the hotel for €120. I'll definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Keep up the great work 👏👏
