Cathy made my trip unforgettable. She's a legendary hostess, so professional and helpful that I don't even have the words. I'd definitely come back. The owners were polite and helpful, and breakfast was generous with so much variety I couldn't decide what to choose. The room was wonderful, clean, cosy, spacious and quiet. It's one of the most beautiful places I've visited in Ireland, with a breathtaking view. I strongly recommend it to anyone travelling to the west of Ireland.

We loved breakfast so much that by bedtime I was already looking forward to the next morning. John and Kathy Mullen were attentive hosts and served a wonderful spread each day. Kathy greeted us on arrival and made us feel at home straight away. She has such a warm, calm manner, and John is an endearingly friendly gentleman we enjoyed seeing at breakfast. The B&B is beautifully situated on the Lower Sky Road, with breathtaking views. It's far enough from Clifden to feel secluded, yet close enough to pop into town when we needed something. My wife, father and I were fortunate to have been recommended Ardmore House. It's the most beautiful bed and breakfast my wife and I have stayed in. It felt like an authentic Irish experience, and we can't wait to return to Connemara!

The cliffside setting is lovely, with a wonderful viewpoint, and the house and room are beautiful. Breakfast was great, and the hosts were very friendly. It was a wonderful stay, though Clifden is about 5 km away. Since I was cycling in Ireland, getting there and then riding into town for dinner felt like quite a distance.

Breakfast was a treat, with yogurt, fruit and cereal each day, plus a choice of warm dishes prepared individually. And the brown bread was delicious! The hosts, Kathy and John Mullen, were warm, friendly and helpful. I stayed at Ardmore House in August 2024 with my son and his wife. It's just off Sky Road on the outskirts of Clifden, and the house is modern and clean, with well-appointed rooms. There are plenty of sights nearby. A short scenic path from the house leads to a cliff with a breathtaking view west over the sea. Inishbofin Island is not far, and Clifden itself is close by.

After a very long drive, this was such a lovely place to unwind. The setting and scenery are gorgeous, and the private path to the cliffs behind the property was a fabulous, unique bonus. Kathy and John were lovely hosts. We chose breakfast the night before, and it was spot on. The rooms were very well appointed, with luxurious bedding.
