The leisure centre and spa were spotless, with so much to enjoy, and our room was immaculate. We especially loved having a balcony. The hotel is beautiful, full of character and history, and we had a great time exploring inside and out. John and all his staff gave us the most amazing weekend away, with so many thoughtful little touches that meant a lot to us. The meals were incredible. Breakfast had loads of choice, and we had the best steak dinner we've ever had. Four stars doesn't seem like enough. We'd give the hotel at least 10, and even that feels short. We recommend John and his family run hotel a million percent. Thank you for the best weekend ever! ❤️ See you soon.

Glenwalk hill walking club stayed at the Minella Hotel over the October bank holiday weekend, and we got such a warm welcome. The setting is gorgeous and the hotel itself is beautiful. Our rooms were spotless and really nice, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was great.

John and Liz looked after our group so well, full marks to them. We were there for the weekend as vintage car enthusiasts and had a really enjoyable stay. It was just the right distance from the town centre, and we didn't have to worry about anyone interfering with the cars. We'll be back.

I've stayed here a few times and tried most of the menu. The food is always delicious, and the grounds are beautiful. The rooms are amazing and the whole experience is second to none. Above all, the staff are the best I've dealt with anywhere I've stayed, with care, attention to detail and service that's hard to match. Just fabulous all round.

We had a lovely catch-up over food and wine, with time to sit and chat and relax. The garden and river looked beautiful from our table. We both ordered fish, and my salmon was cooked perfectly. We finished by sharing a delicious chocolate brownie. Highly recommend.
