The grounds and service at Ashford Castle were impeccable, and celebrating our honeymoon here was such a treat. We loved wandering the grounds, taking the boat ride, having breakfast in the dining room, listening to live music in the drawing room, and getting cocktails at the bar. Meeting the Irish wolfhounds was another highlight. The hawk walk with Miguel was especially memorable. He was friendly, knew the birds well, and clearly loved what he does. We hope to come back for an anniversary. It really is a magical place.

The castle was incredible to explore, and our room was both very comfortable and unique. The staff were warm and welcoming. Staying here felt like being transported to another dimension, one of the most magical hotel experiences I've had. A real bucket list hotel.

We had a very good room and excellent food, but the staff are what made this such a wonderful stay. Rose, Paul, and the young blonde woman who worked in the bar were especially amazing, though to my eternal shame I've forgotten her name. My wife fell badly in the car park as we were going to check in. Rose came to help even though her shift had ended and she was heading home. The duty manager, Paul?, bandaged my wife's ankle and applied an ice bag, which was the medically correct thing to do. My wife refused to go to A and E, but we still had a good time. I'd give the staff and service ten stars.

There are so many activities and uplifting views to enjoy here. The grounds are stunning for a stroll, and the river walk in Cong is within walking distance too. From the atmosphere and location to the staff, the whole experience was a joy. The Castle won't disappoint when you first see it. Highly recommend.

A very special place, with staff to match. We had a great room with a four-poster bed and a view of the river rushing into the lake. Service was top notch, and the Hawk walk with Tom from the falconry school was both excellent and educational.
