Michaeleen's Manor B&B

Cong makes a lovely base for exploring. It's peaceful and charming, with pubs offering live traditional music. For photos, there are lovely spots including Cong Abbey, an old church, lake scenery and walks in Cong Wood. Ashford Castle is close by too. There's also nearby space for camper vans or camping. At Michaeleen’s Manor B&B, I felt at home as soon as I arrived. The place was spotless, cozy, and decorated with thoughtful touches. I found the bed comfortable, and having tea and coffee in the room made it even more relaxing. The hosts were warm and friendly, and breakfast was exceptional, with lots of tasty choices to start the day. It's a great mix of comfort, hospitality and location. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cong.

The staff were the best part for us, so friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with anything. We stayed at Michaeleen’s Manor B&B briefly while traveling through Ireland. It's a simple, basic place, fine for somewhere to rest if you don't expect much. The beds weren't especially comfortable but did the job for a short stay. Breakfast was okay and similarly basic, enough to get the day started but nothing special. A decent stopover if you're not after luxury or extras.

Gerry looked after us so well at the hotel and while he led the tour out of the museum. He was funny and entertaining, and the welcome was warm all around. We were in Cong to see the places where The Quiet Man was filmed, so staying at Michaeleen's Manor was a must. The rooms are cozy, it's a nice walk into town, and breakfast was extra tasty.

The hosts, Gerry & Margaret, are legendary. They really know how to make dreams come true, and their knowledge and sense of humour are awesome. Breakfast is fit for royalty, and the comfortable rooms have everything you need. This is the only place to stay in cong dedicated to the quiet man film. It's like a museum, and the hosts go the extra mile to make your stay memorable 👍
