The Kingsley

A great spot for a relaxing weekend away. The staff were all friendly and went out of their way to help. The spa, pool, and gym facilities are great, and it’s 20 minutes from the city centre. The food from both the bar and restaurant was excellent.

Matt made the afternoon tea feel special. He noticed us looking over as he walked past with drinks, came straight over with the menu, told us what he’d just served, and recommended his own favourite. Nicely done, Matt! We were celebrating two big birthdays and the team looked after us from beginning to end. Afterward, Matt pointed us straight to the bar, so the whole thing flowed easily. Gorgeous tea and lovely service, highly recommend.

The Kingsley was a really comfortable place for our short stay, and we’d happily come back. Breakfast was very good, and dinner from the restaurant arrived through room service in just 20 minutes and tasted great. Our room was a good size and had what we needed, including a Nespresso Machine, Kettle, and a TV you could stream to. We travelled with our little one, and she was delighted to find a Teddy waiting in the room. The hotel was well maintained, and the staff were very friendly. We also appreciated the on-site EV Charging. The water jugs and refill stations on every floor were a thoughtful touch, and we noticed they kept plastic use down. Our only gripe was that the room wasn’t ready at 3PM, so we had to wait a bit. Otherwise, a very enjoyable stay. One of the best hotels in Cork.

Dinner was a bit disappointing, with hardly any vegetables beyond the little bit on the plate, though the starter was lovely. We still loved the hotel and thought the staff made a real effort. Breakfast was tasty, lovely, and had plenty to choose from. We’d like to visit again sometime.
