We had a long weekend in Cork and loved every second. My wife chose the Maldron, and it turned out to be a perfect pick. It faces the water and some lovely buildings lit up at night, and it’s on a quieter road. In less than five minutes you’re by shops, bars, restaurants, and the bus station. Public transport was plentiful, reliable, efficient, and cheap. The decor felt modern and fresh throughout, and everyone we dealt with was polite, friendly, and happy to help. Wi-Fi is free throughout, with no password, data collection, or sign-up page. Our bedroom was clean, spacious, and modern, with controlled AC or a window you can open. It had a large shower with rainfall and handheld settings, fresh linen, spare pillows, a kettle with cups, tea, coffee and milk, an iron and board, a wall safe, and a decent hairdryer. The TV had the usual channels and supports external media, with a Chromecast connected by default. We couldn’t have dinner there because of time constraints, but breakfast offered a buffet and a menu with a good range of choices. Room service is available too, though I think the menu is limited. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Cork.

The room was clean and spacious, but the bathroom setup was odd. There were hardly any hooks or places to hang towels, or put a wash bag or dry clothes. I understand it was an accessible bathroom, but I’m sure wheelchair users need those things too. There was a random shelf five feet away from where it was useful, and the hand towel was on a rail by the toilet, which didn’t feel hygienic.

The location was central and the staff made us feel very welcome. It was good value, too. I slept comfortably, though the bed was a bit hard for me. The Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect, so I couldn’t stream on the TV as advertised, but I was still very happy with my stay.

The room was lovely, the beds were comfy, and the location was great. What really made my stay, though, was the staff’s surprise for my 21st birthday. I’d only briefly mentioned I was celebrating with my best friend, and when we got to our room after checking in, there was a cake and a “happy 21st” platter waiting for me. Such a thoughtful gesture. The staff were so friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived, and they let me drop off my luggage before check-in while I went to college. I’d absolutely stay again. Thanks to everyone for making it such a nice visit for us! :)))

The food was really good, and our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff were friendly and arranged an early check-in for us. It’s a very central spot, too. We had a wonderful experience from arrival through checkout and would recommend staying here.
