Christian gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had. He found deep knots in my muscles that had been there for years. The spa was extremely clean and quiet, a real break from our busy lives. My wife had booked the spa for our wedding anniversary. Bernie greeted us at reception and explained everything clearly and professionally so we could enjoy the day. Niamh was always around if we needed anything or had a question. Thanks for a wonderful day, we’ll see you again.

It’s been eight years since our last visit, and this was our third time here. Happily, very little has changed. If it works, there’s no need to fix it. The place is peaceful, relaxed, and tranquil, just the sort of complete escape I was looking for. The service, food, setting, rooms, and spa are all five-star. Already looking forward to coming back.

A good range of food at breakfast and dinner, and the staff are friendly, professional, and very happy to help. The nearby adventure centre gives you a chance to get outdoors too. This is the place for a holiday if you’d rather have rural scenery and outdoor time than city lights and a digital life. I’ll be back.

There isn’t much to do at the hotel if hiking isn’t your thing. We also found a truly disgusting amount of dust and dirt under the bed after moving it about 5 cm. Breakfast is included, but they ask you to book it three weeks ahead. That works fine if you already know you’ll eat at 7:30. If you don’t book, though, it’s a pretty bad experience to wake up early with a hungry child who can’t get breakfast until 9:00.
