Camden Court Hotel

The sauna and steam room were both great, and the staff, food, and rooms were all excellent too. I really appreciated the attention to detail throughout. This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at so far. Prices are fairly high, but I felt the stay was worth it.

Breakfast will definitely leave you full. The guy serving bacon and eggs is your best friend, and your cholesterol’s worst enemy 😂. The Camden Court Hotel was a handy base for our three days in central Dublin, with nearly everywhere within a 15-20 minute walk. After a long day on foot, the pool and sauna were great for unwinding. Our room was nicely decorated and very clean, with a modern shower, quick hot water, and good pressure. Wifi worked reliably too.

I’d happily stay at the Camden again. The location is excellent, and the health club is great if you catch it at the right time. Weekend party noise is the one downside, and it depends on where your room is. Mine was on the second floor above the lobby bar and event rooms, with noise until around 2 am and people coming back until 3. I’d suggest asking for a higher floor away from the street. I’m just leaving now and heading for the Dublin Airport Express bus.

The staff were super friendly and it’s close to the city centre, but I wouldn’t call this four-star standard. There’s no AC, and traffic from the busy street came straight through the old windows. Our room got really hot even though it was cold outside, but opening the window meant dealing with the noise. We asked to move somewhere quieter and ended up beside the ice machine, still facing the street. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want a peaceful stay.
