We stumbled on this lovely little place while looking for somewhere to stay in Dublin. Our flight landed early, so we dropped off our bags and went for breakfast before check-in. Karen at reception was lovely and gave us helpful lunch suggestions. She said she could have our room ready by 2 pm. Breakfast is simple, with toast, cereal, coffee, and tea available from around 0830-1100. The location made it easy to walk to all the sights we wanted to see. There's also an Aircoach bus stop right outside, which made getting to and from Dublin Airport easy.

We only stayed one night after arriving late, so there wasn't a chance for management to fix the issues. They weren't disruptive enough for me to complain. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, though upkeep could be better. The shower pressure kept switching from low to high every 10 seconds, the in-room phone didn't work, and several holes were in the sheets, although they were clean and crisp. The location is fairly central, with airport access via the 700 shuttle. There's no real breakfast, just tea, coffee, and toast.

Coming back to a quiet, cozy room after a full day out was a real pleasure. We never had trouble with street noise, and it was easy to relax and get some rest. The room was clean, and the desk staff were always kind and ready to answer whatever my wife and I asked. Breakfast each morning was included, which made starting our Dublin days easier. The guest house is right in Dublin City Centre, so the places we wanted to see were within easy reach. There’s also a gated private car park behind the building, and entry to the house is kept secure with a keypad around the clock. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The staff were the strongest part of our stay. They were very friendly, gave us a map with sights and directions to the car park, and even offered to help us find a space if the lot was full. Free parking was a big reason we booked, since it’s hard to find in Dublin. The entrance, though, is a very tight turn at the end of an alley, which could be tricky if you’re driving alone. The hotel is well placed too, about 15 minutes on foot from the city centre and 10 minutes from St Stephen's Green, with plenty of coffee shops nearby. Our room had a decent amount of space, but looked a little worn, with patchy paint and carpet pulling away from the wall. Some odd doors that seemed to lead nowhere made me uneasy, and I’m fairly sure one connected to another guest’s room. I was glad they weren’t noisy, but I can see that bothering people. The fireplace was a nice detail, and the balcony was cute. There was no screen on the balcony door or air conditioning, so we had to choose between feeling hot with it shut or feeling uneasy about someone getting in. It overlooked the car park, so that seemed unlikely, but it still felt strange as a nervous foreigner. The bathroom was extremely small. The toilet and shower shared the same floor, and the sink was the only place for toiletries. Of our two showers, only one had enough hot water. There is a lift, but it wasn’t working when we left, so getting our large bags downstairs was a struggle. The room and facilities were a bit rough around the edges, even though the staff were great.

The lodge is in a handy spot, just a short walk from St. Stephen’s Green and Grafton St, and taxi drivers all seemed to know it. The staff were lovely and helpful. It’s made up of two connected buildings, and we stayed in room 111 in the second one. That gave us easy access to the shared kitchen, laundry, couches, and a really amazing patio. We hardly saw anyone using it. Our room was small, though having the bathroom in its own space was nice. The shower was great but kept shutting off, so we had to turn it back on. Bring your own shampoo. The bed was very firm, which some people might like. A fan and space heater were provided. We had a great stay and would recommend it.
