We spent a weekend here with friends, getting away from the UK, and it was an experience we won't forget. The host was happy to arrange transport when we needed it. Our rooms were cleaned daily and kept to a very good standard. Breakfast was top notch, served hot, with each guest's order taken to suit their request. We'll definitely visit again.

The hosts are so friendly and helpful, and breakfast was five star. There was every cereal you could think of, and the eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection. The gardens are amazing, too. It's a wonderful place to stay and get a feel for what an Irish home is like. We'll sure go back next time.

Peter is a really nice, helpful person, and breakfast was ok. But our room was so small we couldn't even open our suitcases. The towels had stains and weren't really clean. There was dog hair all over the room and bathroom. It was ok for one night, but never again.

We left without staying after a difficult arrival at Orley House. It took a very long time for anyone to answer the door, and when it finally opened only a crack, a woman asked what we wanted. We explained we had a booking, but she said there were no guests that evening. I can’t comment on the rooms. Based on how we were received, I wouldn’t recommend it.

We left within minutes because the strong dog smell in the corridor was making my wife feel sick. We like dogs and have them at home, but this was too much for us. When I mentioned the smell to Peter, he opened the door and told us to leave straight away. There was no apology or offer to clean or spray anything. I said our belongings were still in the room, and when we went to collect them, a woman shouted that there was no smell and ordered us out, saying we would not get our money back. We had spoken politely and had only brought up the smell. The way they handled it was not nice at all.
