Iveagh Lodge

The staff member at the front desk forced his way into our room three times without knocking or giving a reason. The first two times my partner was alone, and she was extremely frightened. She barricaded the door with a chair after the second incident, but he forced his way in again. He never apologised. On the last occasion we were both naked, and three other guests nearly saw us. He forced the door so hard that its alarm was blaring. We booked because the place had good reviews online, but were deeply disappointed. After we left, we noticed a belt worth £100 was missing. I can’t confirm it was stolen, but we hadn’t taken it out of the room or lost it at the airport. We contacted the property, but its customer service team never responded. They also changed our room numbers halfway through our stay, so we had no idea which room was actually ours. Since then, the place has rebranded, which is a little concerning. I’d strongly avoid staying here if you value your privacy and belongings.
