Anna and Zulaa were great at their jobs. They always greeted people with smiles and were ready to help, including with suggestions for places to visit in Dublin and which Irish cities to see. Lyndon House is an easy walk from Temple Bar and the Dublin nightlife. The rooms were just right, the price was good, and I'll definitely stay here again.

A rat was in my room shortly after I arrived on 25 February 2026, and I took a photo. I left straight away because of hygiene and safety concerns, so I didn't stay the night. I reported it immediately, but no satisfactory resolution was offered. Guests should know what the room was like during my stay.
The walls were so thin that kids screaming late at night woke me, along with gates clattering. My room smelled of damp and urine, with an air freshener apparently there to cover it, and the carpets were really dirty. On arrival, the woman at reception was rude, which set a bad tone. At checkout, a woman coming up the stairs who clearly worked there was coughing and gagging. It concerned me that someone so sick was working in a place where the public stay. This isn't a B&B, more like a hostel, and there is no breakfast. I should have listened to the reviews. I hoped to be pleasantly surprised, but wasn't. If you can, pay a bit more for somewhere nicer.
The staff are nice, and they do have ensuite rooms, which I'd suggest if you're stuck and need a bathroom in your room. But the area isn't the best and it's loud at night. As a woman on my own, I don't think I would've felt safe there.
The room was clean, and so was the shared bathroom, but it was tiny and narrow. My husband stood with his arms stretched out and could touch both walls, with only about four inches to spare. There are no breakfast or kitchen facilities, so this is NOT a B&B! We had booked one night on arrival in Dublin and more nights for after our 10 days touring Ireland. We cancelled the later booking and moved to a real B&B.
