The couple running this excellent B&B welcomed us like family. We had cosy, clean rooms, wonderful facilities, and filling breakfasts. It’s well placed for a trip into town or across the border. A real gem that made our break a perfect getaway.

The owners were sound, the price was good, and they took card payments, which some places don’t. Breakfast was good, and they let me check in early. My only complaint: if your room is near the dining room, you’ll wake up when someone else does. There’s a load of plates banging around.

We booked the whole B&B for three nights so our wider family could attend my daughter’s wedding at Darver Castle, and I stayed with them too. Briege and Noel were amazing hosts, helping everyone from a noisy toddler to elderly relatives with disabilities feel welcome and well looked after. It felt like home. The rooms were immaculate, with comfortable beds and luxury bathroom products like shampoo and body wash. Breakfast was wonderful, and Briege catered for all diets when asked. Nothing was too difficult for her. I can’t express how grateful I am that they made such a busy time stress-free for us. I have family nearby and will make this guest house my regular stop from now on. Well done, Briege and Noel @ Fairlawns B&B. Thanks so much for everything. A+++++ Highly recommended!

After a long day in Carlingford, Briege had chilled bottles of water ready in the fridge when she showed us to our rooms. We were staying overnight with two friends while taking them to Newgrange and the Boyne Valley. The place was clean and comfortable, with lovely gardens and attentive owners. Breakfast was delicious and varied, and the rates were reasonable. We’ll definitely stay here again.

The gardens are gorgeous, and inside the B&B was spotless, with lovely rooms and a very tasty breakfast. My husband and I had a great stay and were made very welcome by Maizy. She, her husband John, their daughter, and all the staff were so lovely. Thank you very much. xx
