Right in the heart of Dundalk, this is a lovely, quiet, cosy place to stay. The rooms were clean and well equipped, with a TV, hairdryer, kettle and drinks, mini-fridge, microwave, and plenty of storage. Wi-Fi worked well, and the bed and mattress were very comfortable. Breakfast was a delicious full Irish, with fruit, yogurts, cereals, and other options as well. The staff were extremely kind and helpful.

The location was good, and breakfast was good too. The two girls serving it were very pleasant. But the woman who checked us in wasn’t friendly at all. She didn’t say hello or welcome us and seemed annoyed to be dealing with us. The bedroom was dark and old, and needs a makeover. The wardrobe was ridiculous: you’d need to be over six feet tall to reach the rail for a hanger. The bathroom was just okay and could have been cleaner. I wouldn’t stay again.

We never got past the hallway, so I can’t comment on the rooms. We waited outside for over 20 minutes, then a woman who said she was the owner let us in with a rude, hostile reception. We felt treated like scum, with no hint of an apology. We were so uncomfortable and shocked that we cancelled, even though the booking was non-refundable. When we said we were unhappy, the owners ignored us and wouldn’t give us their names or details. I do not recommend this to anyone.

The room was huge, with a fridge, microwave, seating area, TV, and tea and coffee. There were loads of sockets for hairdryers and chargers. Breakfast was amazing, and the staff were so nice and welcoming.

A great location for the price. The staff were efficient, and breakfast was grand. The room and bathroom were spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. Well recommended.
