Jack and Maggie were so welcoming during our night at the hostel while cycling through Dungloe. We’d only expected a handy break from camping, but ended up really enjoying the stay. Everything was spotless, the showers were a delight, and the kitchen had all the equipment and supplies we needed. Thanks for the lovely surprise, we’ve already told our friends about it!

The place feels new and was very clean, with lovely bathrooms and shower soap that smelled like a boutique hotel. The Bluetooth key system meant we could get in very late after stopping for a beautiful sunset. I’d never slept in triple bunks before, but with just three of us in a nine bed dorm there was plenty of room. The kitchen is small, and the common room can get crowded, so that’s why I’m giving four stars. We were out sightseeing rather than hanging around indoors anyway. A fun, cheap place for a trip with friends.

Jack was incredibly friendly and went well out of his way to help us. I needed a room, and he found one for my colleague at a nearby B&B as well. Since we had to leave early, he got up at 6 am on a Saturday to cook us a delicious full Irish breakfast. When we couldn’t find a taxi, he drove us to the airport. The accommodation is spacious, clean, very nice, and in a quiet area. A lovely place worth every penny!

We had a confirmed booking for Easter Saturday, made two months ahead for my friend and me. When we arrived that evening, we were told it had been cancelled and they couldn’t fit us in. Nobody had emailed us beforehand or offered any kind of alternative. We were left out in the Irish rain, though luckily we found a great nearby AirBnB hosted by John, who welcomed us warmly for less money.
