Dominic Street Apartments

The location was great, but I wouldn't stay here again. There are lots of stairs, so families with kids should keep that in mind, and it was very noisy at night with so many pubs directly outside. The apartment we got didn't look like the photos. The rooms smelled bad, cigarette butts were scattered outside the door, and inside felt dirty. The furniture needed a proper clean, and blackout curtains would help with all the street lights.

The bed was clean, and the location was great. It was also quiet despite the bars below. But the apartment wasn't clean, and there isn't parking. You have to find a space on the street or use a nearby parkade. There were dirty towels in the kitchen cupboard, dirty dishes left behind, and the walls and couches looked stained. Maybe it works if you're trying to save money but don't want a hostel. I won't choose it again.

I've stayed at two Four Aces places, first Dominic street apartments and now west end apartments. Both were warm, lovely accommodations, very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I came with a six-year-old, a one-year-old and a four-month-old, and honestly have no complaints. The kids loved it too. The price was very reasonable. Definitely be back soon!

I stayed for several months and ran into a lot of problems. Workers were meant to come in the first week but never showed. They also took over €500 from the deposit without a reason or any way to challenge it. The location is ideal, but there's no sound insulation at all. Street noise, nightclubs and bars were bad, and deliveries for the restaurant next door were especially noisy. The WiFi was extremely poor, sometimes out for five days. Very disappointed. If you can find somewhere else in Galway, don't stay at Dominick Street Apartments.
