The ocean views made for a beautiful setting, perfect for a walk or just relaxing, and we'd happily return. Our room was really comfortable, and the hotel was spotless. Everyone on staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was included and delicious, with a vegetarian choice as well as a great continental spread of cereal, fruit, cheeses and meats. I especially loved the cappuccino.

The residents-only pool was amazing, and honestly the only thing that felt worth the nightly rate to me. Staff were very professional, the rooms were dated but clean, and breakfast was fantastic. The location is convenient for walks around Salthill and getting public transport into Galway City, just a couple of minutes by car too. One frustration: the bar doesn't serve food in winter, even though several information points list bar food and its hours. The website doesn't mention that either.

I spent two weeks here and had some of the best moments of my life. The sea-facing location means you can wake up to a great breakfast and enjoy it with a beautiful view. The staff are extremely friendly, the rooms are comfortable and really good for the price of 100 per day. Needless to say, I think it's the best hotel in all of Galway.

We were at Sean and Michelle s wedding on Friday, and had a fantastic experience. The reception food was delicious, especially the sea bass. All the staff were helpful, with Gearóid and Louise standing out. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

The room was lovely, with a really comfortable bed. You need to book the pool and gym in advance, which makes sense since neither is very large, though both are comfortable. We had a reservation elsewhere, so didn't try the bar or restaurant. Breakfast was good apart from the fry-up, which wasn't great.
