Griffin Lodge Guesthouse

Our host did everything possible for us while we were there. This B&B is a great base in Galway city, and the hospitality was some of the finest I've come across. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Galway.

The host was hostile, argumentative, and incredibly rude from the moment I arrived. Her first words to me were, "You're not another foreigner, are you?" It only went downhill after that. The place is an absolute dump. Avoid it.

The host was very warm and welcoming, and our clean, comfortable room was in a great spot. The Latin quarter was an easy walk away.

Ann, the owner, made our stay. She was funny, engaging, patient, and great at looking after guests. Her suggestions and local insight were really helpful too. My adult daughter and I had two second-floor rooms for three days, and it was probably the best B&B visit I've had. Ann made breakfasts to suit what guests wanted, from continental to full Irish and everything between. The full Irish was the best we had during our week-plus in Ireland. After a day out walking, my daughter found her room made up again, with her little rabbit "stuffie" propped against a pillow beside an open book. Such a sweet touch. I'll definitely return to Galway and stay at Griffin Lodge, whether my daughter and I travel together or separately.
