Hyde Hotel (Formerly The Forster Court Hotel)

The Hyde Bar stood out, with creative cocktails, lovely presentation, and a lively but sophisticated feel. Dinner was just as good, with flavourful food, generous portions, and attentive, hospitable service. The hotel is moments from Eyre Square and Galway's city centre, so there's plenty of urban energy nearby. Inside, the décor is contemporary and tasteful, boutique in style without feeling overdone. The bedrooms were beautifully presented, with plush bedding, thoughtful lighting, and a calm atmosphere. I slept well despite the central location. From arrival, the welcome was warm and professional, and everything felt easy. Hyde Hotel combines comfort, design, and a central location in a dependable base for business, a weekend away, or a celebration. A stylish, thoroughly enjoyable stay. I'd certainly return.

The bus stop is right outside Hyde's main entrance, and the train station is only five minutes away. We walked there easily with 12kg bags. There's plenty of interest within walking distance too. I'm unsure about parking, and about wheelchair parking and WC access. The hotel has a lift or ramp, and wheelchair accessible rooms may be available, though they have a bar for the bathtub. The room was amazing, with a lovely church in the street view. It seemed quite new, with C-type charging sockets, and the coffee machine was a nice surprise. Breakfast was delicious and freshly served, buffet style but a la carte. The lobby and restaurant/bar were spacious and beautifully designed, giving a luxurious feel that isn't apparent from outside. The staff were excellent. Special thanks to David, Lavinia, and Bernardo for answering questions and helping guests so promptly and attentively. Free luggage storage was handy too. We left our bags in the morning after checkout, went on a tour, and came back to collect them without any hassle. Wi-Fi, debit and credit cards, and e-payments were available. A pleasant one-night stay with thoughtful service and elegant interiors.

The room stayed warm for both days, even with the AC on. Luckily, it wasn't too warm outside, though the weather was great and it wasn't cold either. The pillows were absolutely terrible, which was my only real complaint, despite the comfortable bed. We had a great stay, especially liked the stylish restaurant and cocktail bar downstairs. The shower was amazing, and I appreciated the locked door and late-night security check at the desk.

The Hyde Hotel is in a great walkable area, with plenty to explore nearby, and being right beside the train station made getting around so easy. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, making for a comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and ready to help with any request. The restaurant food and drinks were delicious too, just right for unwinding after a busy day. I had an amazing experience and highly recommend it for a comfortable and convenient stay.
